A day of drowning: 12-year-old ultra-Orthodox boy, drowned in a swimming pool in Hatzor, he was pulled out from the water and taken to hospital sedated and on a respirator.
Tonight (Tuesday) after 21:00 MDA Yarden Region received a report, about a boy who was pulled up from the water after he drowned in a pool in Hatzor.
As it turns out, the boy was on a trip with a Talmud Torah from Beit Shemesh, in the Hazor swimming pool.
At the end of the activity, they emerged from the pool and began to organize barbecues, but then it turned out that the boy was missing and he was found at the bottom of the pool.
Medics and paramedics of MDA gave him medical treatment and he was evacuated to Ziv Hospital in Nahariya whilst sedated.
Moshe Goldberg who volunteers at the Hatzalah said: "When I got to the boy who drowned he was unconscious when pulled up from the water by a lifeguard, along with other volunteers we performed advanced resuscitation including giving electric shocks and when his pulse returned he was evacuated by ambulance to the Ziv Hospital in Safed with his condition defined as serious, we were told that the boy was on a school trip with his classmates and drowned in the swimming pool".
Kfir Ayyash, a Magen David Adom paramedic who lives nearby and arrived at the scene said: "a 12-year-old boy lay unconscious near the pool, without a pulse and not breathing, he was pulled from the water by a lifeguard who started to resuscitate him. We gave the child life-saving medical treatment."
