Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented to the Knesset plenum his new government and its political platform:
"God willing, this evening we will establish a government in Israel, we will maintain security, strive for peace, open the economy and diminish social gaps and do it all for the benefit of all citizens of Israel."
MK Masud Ghanaian, Jamal Zahalka, and Basel Ghattas were removed from the courtroom after the order was called three times while reminded the statement of Netanyahu on the eve of the Arab influx to the polls.
Netanyahu went on: "The results of the elections were very sharp, the Likud received 30 seats, the National Camp received 67 seats and it was pronounced clearly and unequivocally. But immediately after the election began the process is no less clear distortion of the will of the voters, which was made possible because of our system of government. This happened, for example, when they took six votes and moved them from one side to another.
This encourages excessive demands on the part of political parties and from individuals. Everyone understands this situation in which governments return again and again, every two years on average Israeli governments are replaced. This system must be changed.
I leave the door open to expand the government for two reasons. The first that I think the state needs it, and the second is because this way is the only way to fix and change the system returned the major parties and the prime minister.
I guess Opposition leader will say he will not go to the government but we need to come together and change the method.
I think that most Israeli citizens understand what I just said. They understand that the good of the country requires a change in the system of government, which serves the country. I hope that this gets to the heart and the mind.
I would like to thank MK Tzachi Hanegbi who took on his shoulders the coalition administration with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
I urge member Gilad Erdan to reconsider joining the government and that of course would require a change in the composition of the current government.
