USA: Appreciation meeting for Protection Committee for the Mount of Olives

Rabbis and prominent public figures in the United States will gather on Sunday to convene the Mount of Olives Protection Committee, which deals with activities in recent years for defense protecting and defending the Mount of Olives.

During the conference, to be held at the Agudath Israel Synagogue Bet Benjamin in Brooklyn are expected to take part rabbis and public figures from all circles including Rabbi Moshe Tuvia Liff, Rabbi Chaim David Zweibel US vice president of Agudath Israel, Rabbi Shmuel Kaminsky Head of Philadelphia Yeshiva, Rabbi Aharon Feldman, head of Yeshivat Ner Israel in Baltimore, and Menachem Lubinsky, chairman of the International Committee for the Defense of the Mount of Olives, and Malcolm Honlin, Chairman, Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

During the conference are Rabbis expected to speak of the importance of the Committee for the Defense of activity on the Mount of Olives. Menachem and Abraham Lobiniski will present to the audience the data on the Mount of Olives events, and activities made by the Israeli government thanks to the committee.

As is well known, the Mount of Olives Protection Committee established five years ago by the Lubinsky brothers who discovered pogroms after their parents were buried there. In recent years, the committee works through international pressure on Israel to officialdom that it approve the mountain protection activities and the maintenance of cleanliness and dignity of the place whose hearts many Jews yearn for.

Thanks to the committee security forces have slightly reduced incidents on the mountain, but the Protection Committee emphasized that the activity will continue until achieving maximum security for all those wishing to visit the Mount of Olives.
