Bracha from Miron • family awaits all guests at the Rashbi

The children move out of their rooms with joy, people sleep under the table or on the couch and do not have to know each other personally - if you came to Rashbi and are looking for a hot meal or coffee and cake - you have an address

Bracha from Miron • family awaits all guests at the Rashbi

At the home of Yosef and Bracha Bolton, there is no quiet moment. Lag B'Omer is no longer their day of celebration, but an array of rare hospitality, which leaves no room for doubt: these are people who one does not meet every day. So I have not gone yet to meet Bracha in Meron, but certainly I had a phone conversation with her, and I even have pictures which will illustrate the story.

If we think Lag B'Omer is a pleasant evening out with the kids to see bonfires and bake some potatoes, or those who prefer a barbecues, at Bracha's home, the preparations are none less than any other holiday. "Three days before shopping is already carried out, a lot of food, drinks, utensils, everything needed for the hundreds who come for Lag B'Omer, "she says.
Already since Tuesday, people pitched their tent in the Bolton family yard, and they will be there until after hillula, some of them until after the Sabbath.

6-year open house - literally
For 6 years they live in Meron. "Even during the ten years we lived in Kfar Chabad, our house was open, and we loved guests, but the chances that people get stuck without a place to sleep or eat - is larger in Meron," shares Bracha. "Since we're here, it just became routine. On Shabbat when my husband goes to pray, he comes back home and announces how many places to add to the table. People we have never met before pass by here, and in the following years arrive as acquaintances. One year came two girls came to spend Shabbat at Rashbi, without knowing a moment before where they will be hosted. One of our guests noticed them and asked if they need help, when they told him they do not have a place to eat and stay, he brought them to us. Out of curiosity, I reasoned, how can you come here not knowing what to do? What if you would not find a place to stay? 'You see that we have found, they told me. One of them comes every year now with her husband... "
