Netivot: young Orthodox seriously injured in a car accident

20 year old Orthodox youngster riding a motorcycle was injured tonight (Thursday) from a passing vehicle in Netivot and was seriously wounded, and was taken to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.

The accident occurred at around 19:20, when the collision occurred between the private car and motorbike. MDA staff and volunteers rescue union gave him first aid and then he was evacuated by Intensive Care Unit for further medical treatment at Soroka Hospital suffering from multi-system damage.

The circumstances of the accident will be reviewed by the police.

Yisrael Rubinstein, head of the Negev branch of Hatzalah union said: "When I got to the scene I came across a young man who was riding a motorcycle and injured by a vehicle, following primary health care I gave him with the help of other paramedics he was evacuated by Intensive Care Unit for further medical treatment, suffering multi-system damage and in critical condition.

"The driver was slightly injured and was taken to the hospital too; the street was closed due to the nature of the accident and the examination findings by the police.
