Tens of thousands of participants at the funeral procession of Rabbi Chaim Shaul Grenimann zt"l, a student of the Chazon Ish, who passed away suddenly at the seventh day of Pesach at the age of 89.
Starting from the morning crowds thronged the Beit Midrash where his bed was brought below the Beit Midrash, under the private ritual bath used by Hgr"ch zt"l throughout the years.
According to his will his bed was not brought to the Beit Midrash but just below the house of study there was a crowd, and Bnei Brak has not been announced over the loudspeaker at the funeral. The Rebbe of Gur, who was a close friend of Rabbi Chaim zt"l came to say Psalms next to his bed.
Even before the funeral began major central streets were blocked. The streets which were blocked are Ezra, Nehemiah to the end, Hazon Ish from Nehemiah to the cemetery, Rashbam, Devora Haneviah. 400 Dan space police escorted the funeral procession.
At the request of Rabbi Chaim zt"l his funeral began with recitation of Psalms recited by Rabbi Moshe Boyer and then prayers Ana Hashem by all the audience together.
