Tragedy in Rechovot: On the seventh day of Pesach, the child Asher Yonah Schechter, 11, passed away after suffering from diabetes for many years and his condition deteriorated during the holiday and he returned his soul to its Creator.
Police asked to analyze the body and bring it to Abu Kabir, but the activity of ZAKA and other functionaries who acted – brought about only testing but then again difficulties were created and following intervention of MK Litzman his body was released in the morning.
Asher Yonah was born in Rechovot on 21st of Tammuz תשס"ג to his father Rabbi Efraim Schechter who serves as a gabbai of the Dzikov Vizhnitz Rebbe.
He was a happy and energetic child and studied well at the Kretshnif cheder in Rechovot, despite having diabetes.
His funeral will leave tomorrow (Sunday) at 11:00 from the Vizhnitz Beit Midrash in Rechovot.
