After 3 weeks: kashrus supervisor Ofer Sharabi z"l

Three weeks after he was wounded badly, the kashrus supervisor R' Ofer Sharabi z"l passed away.

The deceased, 44, resident of Elad, worked in a matzo factory in Petah Tikva. On 2nd Nissan night he entered one of the machines for the production of dough to check its kashrus, the machine was activated accidentally while he was in it and he was badly bruised in the chest. Ichud Hatzala drives gave him first aid.

He was taken by an Intensive Care Unit to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva where his condition defined harsh, where doctors did everything to save his life, which included innovative treatments, but his condition deteriorated, and tonight (Sunday) he returned his soul to its Creator.

The deceased was born in Petah Tikva to his parents Moshe and Rachel yibadlu lechayim tovim, on 18th Iyar 5730. After his marriage he moved to the city of Elad, where he studied at the Kollel. He is survived by a widow and nine orphans, including two sons and seven daughters, the oldest is 18 and the youngest is 4-5 months only.

One of his friends said that the deceased raised his children with dedication: "He would take his children with the bike every day for years to Bnei Brak to raise them to Torah and fear of Heaven".

A neighbor told Behadrey Haredim about a man who behaved modestly: "He never raised his voice on anyone, he was loved in Heaven and pleasant in this world. He pursued charity and kindness. "I myself," says the neighbor, "in the last two weeks they heard that we don't have chairs and we are 14 people, they sent us 10 chairs and immediately offered to leave them with us until we'll get along. The chairs are still with me. This is a very gentle family, behaves with great dignity. They are loved by all the neighbors and one barely feels them."

His funeral will be held tomorrow.
