Bnei Brak municipality is required to deal with a phenomenon that is unparalleled worldwide: densely populated city in the world, blessed with large families Blah"r, and besides functions of municipal operation of such city, institutions, transport, infrastructure and budgets, the amount of garbage collected from the city is double than any other municipality.
This is all the more true for Pesach, when the garbage bins and doorways are filled with old furniture, scrap and other types of household waste, some with day camps performed by boys and girls during on the stairwells spots.
The change already feeling the residents and see it in their eyes, residents face posters "we care", the slogan that accompanies the special project of cleaning before Pesach lead by Mayor Chanoch Seibert and his deputy chief Menachem Shapira and inspection of sanitation urban policing. The first change is evident, through garbage cans, repainted and given new and refreshing face, after many years this was never done.
In addition, an unprecedented operation was announced, in which new garbage cans were purchased, in view of the large depreciation which characterizes the trash cans located at the entrance to each building. Cans were sold at a subsidized price of only NIS 100 each per household, when the municipality complementary and subsidizes the remaining three hundred shekels cost of each tin. Up until now, over 2,000 tins have been purchased by residents, a project done in recent times and is in full swing.
