Will the former Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Yona Metzger, be able to leave for a family celebration in Europe? Prosecutor's Office opposed the application and explains that there is a fear of escape from the country.

According to the publication of Guy Peleg tonight on Channel 2, the Prosecutor's Office's representatives made it clear that they are opposed to the Rabbi's departure, for fear he will not return - in light of the serious allegations against him. The court will decide in the coming days whether to accept or decline the request.

After the end of an undercover investigation in the case of Rabbi Yona Metzger (61), Twelfth of Tammuz Tsha"g, raided the National Fraud on his home and his office, there were confiscated computers and documents. Rabbi was arrested and questioned under caution at the offices of the National Fraud Unit in Lod.

Less than a month ago, the nineteenth of Adar, announced Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, the attorney of the Metzger, he decided to adopt the position of the state prosecutor and the Jerusalem District Attorney, and it weighs criminally prosecuted, it has pending a hearing to be held.

In most cases, allegedly, Chaim Eisenstadt, a personal driver of Metzger, served as the representative for financial offenses. Due to the close relationship between the two, and for his part in committing the offenses, Metzger allegedly gave offenses money, a division under which Eisenstadt received tens of percent of offenses funds.
