After on election day Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called on the rightist public to go out and vote following the Arabs who voted, tonight (Monday) at a meeting with representatives from minority sectors throughout the country and in the presence of MK Iyov Kara, Netanyahu apologized for his remarks.

"I know that what I said a few days ago offended some citizens of Israel, the Israeli Arabs. I had no intention of it. I'm sorry about that," Netanyahu said.

"My actions as prime minister, including the huge investment in minority sectors, prove otherwise. I think, equally, that no cause outside of Israel should intervene in our democratic process.

"I see myself as prime minister of each and every one of you, for all Israeli citizens, without distinction of religion, race or sex. I see all Israeli citizens as partners in the building of a prosperous and secure State of Israel, for all Israeli citizens."
