Netanyahu at the Western Wall: "moved by the responsibility on my shoulders"

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived today at noon (Wednesday) to pray at the Western Wall after the great victory of the Likud Party in the election campaign last night.

Netanyahu arrived accompanied by his son Yair Netanyahu and his wife and Rabbi of the Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz.

After the prayer, the Prime Minister said: "Here at this holy place for the Jewish people I am moved by the historical significance of the place of our people. An ancient people of 4000 years old.

"I'm moved and honored that Israel imposed a responsibility on my shoulders and I appreciate the decision of Israeli citizens to choose me and my friends, against the great powers. I will do everything I can to work for all citizens of Israel, and with God's help we shall succeed."
