Rebbetzin Yemima Mizrahi participated in the women's conference of Yachad movement last night (Wednesday) and said that the movement deserves "tremendous adoration". Rebbetzin Mizrahi also referred to the storm over Yair Garbuz's comments and said she was "not sure the mezuzah wants him to kiss it."
At the event, organized by the women of the party headquarters headed by Tzipi Yishai, wife of party chairman Eli Yishai, greetings were said by Rebbetzin Zivia Eliyahu, the wife of the former Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, of blessed memory, who called to vote for the party.
Rebbetzin Yemima Mizrahi spoke to the large crowd and addressed the elections times and Yachad party: "During this period the real chametz is controversy. Disputes that swell and you have no chametz greater than that. I have to say even though I do not identify politically with anyone, that in this place I see a war on this disengagement, to try and be clean. Not to go into anything disgusting is not simple at all, and it's really tremendously admirable. I've seen it for a long time and this is called Pesach cleaning".
Rebbetzin Mizrahi went on to discuss the storm around the words of leftist Yair Garbuz: "Something happened that I had never dreamed would happen in history. Someone very intellectual came, saying on Saturday night in Rabin Square, why do we need a mezuzah, and what dumbbells are kissing the mezuzah. This is a so-called intellectual question, since the Almighty is very great, so what are you reducing Him to a small mezuzah and kissing it? So I want to say Yair Garbuz, I do not want to hurt him, but I'm not sure at all that the mezuzah wants him to kiss it."
Tzipi Yishai: "The power of Maran was to pave a way to the hearts of all Jews. Hundreds of thousands who walked behind the bed of Maran show that while it seemed sometimes that Maran belongs only to a particular group, he belonged to the entire people of Israel."
