A woman was injured by stones near the Western Wall - very heavy damage was caused to the bus.
Today (Tuesday) afternoon stoning occurred at bus line #1 driving on its way to the Western Wall, while it passed through the Ofel near the Dung Gate. A woman in her 30s was slightly injured, was treated by MDA teams and Ichud Hatzala and was transferred by MDA ambulance for further treatment at Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital.
Heavy damage was caused to the bus. Police began searching for the suspected Arabs.
After a chase, Kedem district police and Border Policemen arrested a 15.5 years old Arab minor, suspected of throwing the stones. The suspect was interrogated in Kedem police station.
Chief of Kedem district police, Commander Chaim Shmueli, concluded: 'This was a very grave and life-threatening incident, we will act and lay our hands on those involved to bring them to justice. Forces which are operating in the area responded quickly and we'll have zero tolerance for lawbreakers who endanger innocent people."
