Jewish Communities of Russia marked 15 years
Hundreds of rabbis and community leaders, gathered in Moscow to mark 15 years of activity of the Association of Jewish Communities of Russia

Hundreds of city rabbis, Chabad shluchim and Jewish community leaders, gathered in Moscow the capital of Russia, for a three-day special conference marking 15 years of activity of the Association of Jewish Communities of Russia.
The conference was held in the "Jewish Community Center Marina Roshcha" in central Moscow, headed by Rabbi of Russia Hagaon R' Berel Lazar, who heads the union, and incorporating about two hundred Jewish communities which serve as a magnet for hundreds of thousands of Russian Jews.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a greeting, noting the important contribution of Jews and Judaism to Russia as a whole, and praised the activities of rabbis and community leaders for community development and increasing.
This greeting letter, joins hundreds of letters which arrived from governors, mayors and government officials, and all of them praised the flowering of Russian Jewry.
During the conference, there were special Torah classes and lectures in various fields and specialties. In front of the assembly, spoke President of the Federation of Jewish Communities in the CIS the benefactor Lev Leviev, President of the Russian Association Alexander Breda, public figures and experts in religious law, and lehavdil in the field of financial conduct, bureaucracy, etc., with professional speakers giving specialized workshops, including Rabbi Israel Brod and more.
On Thursday, a luxurious salute evening was held, in which certificates of appreciation to community leaders who promoted their communities significantly, were awarded. The conclusion of the conference was after an exciting and uplifting Shabbos, during which prayers were held, as well as Torah and Chassidus lessons and a joint hisva'adus, in one great common goal of spreading the light of Judaism and Hassidus to each and every Jew, in every city and province in Russia.
