דקות מעטות לאחר שדווח כי קיים חשש לחייהם של נשיא איראן איברהים ראיסי ושר החוץ שלו חוסיין אמיר עבדאללהיאן בשל התרסקות המסוק הנשיאותו שעשה את דרכו מאזרבייג'אן חזרה לאיראן, הרשת החלה לחגוג את את האירוע בו ככל הנראה מצאו את מותם כמה שונאי ישראל.
הבדיחה המוצלחת מכולם קישרה בין ההתרסקות למוסד הישראלי: אומרים שהטייס של המסוק היה ישראלי סוכן מוסד. שמו: אלי קופטר.
הבדיחה שהופצה ברשתות החברתיות בישראל עשתה לה במהרה כנפיים, וקבוצות חדשות ערביות הפיצו את "הידיעה" כעובדה מוגמרת.
