The mother of the Minister Uri Auerbach: Mrs. Penina Auerbach a"h

Baruch Dayan Haemes: Penina Auerbach a"h, mother of MK Uri Auerbach, who was in the hospital recently, passed away.

Mrs. Auerbach died at an old age. In the past year she had been in a nursing home and developed Alzheimer's, it is doubtful that her son Minister Auerbach will come to her funeral, due to his medical condition.

The deceased was born in Poland as an only child born to her parents Rabbi Barco and Feige Goldfarb. As a child of 12 she was exiled to Siberia with her parents. Her father was taken to prison by the authorities and could not be traced, and her mother died when she was 14.

She rolled like an orphan with a family of neighbors in Siberia, moved to Israel with the Aliyah Youth the ship Theodor Herzl in 1947 and then was exiled to Cyprus about 10 months.

When she reached marriageable age, she got married to Aaron Auerbach, an important family of immigrants from Germany.

Her family said that she "was a woman of virtue and had a special talent for writing. In her later years she volunteered in nursing homes and institutions of Russian immigrants.

She is survived by her sons and daughters: Dovi, Benny, Tzipi Volberstein, Uri and Varda Zilbershlag.

This morning a bris was held for a grandson who was born to her daughter, and therefore the family waited with news about her death until after the event.

Her funeral will be held at 13:30.
