A Sefer Torah was inserted to the Yosef Shalom High School located in Beit Shulamit area, in the Ramot neighborhood in Jerusalem. The synagogue was built a year ago in memory of Rav Elyashiv zt"l.
The Sefer Torah was donated by an Australian Rabbanit who survived the Holocaust and saved money for 18 years for the purchase of a Torah scroll.
The blessing of Av Beit Din Darcei Torah, Rabbi Asher Weiss, who was unable to participate due to a fixed weekly shiur was sent by a messenger.
Gabai of Yosef Shalom wanted to thank the management of the school, Beit Shulamit, who agreed generously and willingly to open the synagogue on the campus grounds available to them, in order to increase the Torah and prayer for dozens of families in Ramot B who wanted an appropriate synagogue.
