Border Police took over female terrorist at Qalandia checkpoint

During the police's activities in riots near the Qalandia crossing, police and the civilian security guard found a young woman standing near the inspection station with her face covered with a veil.

The young woman began advancing towards the inspection point and police and the security guard noticed that she was holding a knife and calling out Jihad cries.

The guard and the police as well as Border Policemen team performed apprehension of a suspect while shooting in the air, reduced range at the suspect and took over.

The knife was seized and the suspect was arrested. She is a 16 years old minor from Beit Daco (adjacent to A-Tira).

In the initial questioning of the security forces she announced that she had arrived in order to kill Jews.

District Commander Moshe (Chico) Edri praised the operation and said that "the operational vigilance and watchfulness of the police, Border Guard officers and security guards, in a show of determination and professionalism, prevented the attack and harm to human life."
