United Torah Judaism gets ready - Litzman met Gafni

Haredi parties are preparing for elections: On Tuesday afternoon MKs Moshe Gafni and Yaakov Litzmann met in the latter's office for a first meeting prior to the elections.

Behadrey Haredim learned that the meeting took place due to the possibility that the bill to dissolve the Knesset might be approved in the first reading tomorrow. In the meeting, the two discussed practices across the country - the establishment of headquarters and activists, as well as the strategy to be taken in response to the expected wave of incitement against the haredi community.

It should be noted that tomorrow the Torah Judaism party is supposed to convene before the vote in the Knesset on the dispersion law.

Earlier today senior members of Shas led by the Chairman MK Aryeh Deri met for a first meeting of preparations for the elections. Deri referred to the crisis in the coalition, saying: "With all the sorrow, pain and wasting of money, I welcome the elections, because the current government is arrogant, opaque and cruel".

He added: "As a religious Jew I believe that the cry of the weak, the paupers, the families and children rose to the heavens and the Creator accepted their prayer and this government reaches its end."
