Jerusalem District Attorney by Attorney Yifat Pinhassi, filed yesterday (Friday) in the District Court in the city charges against Mag'd Ben Maher Karaki 21, Muhammad Azmi Bakari 20 and Mahmoud Amjad Jaber 18 from East Jerusalem in respect of conspiracy to commit a crime and other charges.

According to the indictment, the three were planning to throw stones and fireworks at MK Moshe Feiglin or Yehuda Glick, who were expected to enter the Temple Mount on Thursday 6th Cheshvan along with other Jews. The night before Glick was shot by Mu'ataz Hijazi Islamic Jihad activist and former security prisoner as he left the annual conference of the Temple Mount activists at Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem, and was rushed to the hospital in very serious condition. Last week, three weeks after the assassination attempt, Glick was released from the hospital after recovering.

The defendants planned to hide on the Temple Mount in the Al Aqsa mosque the night before. And on Thursday when MK Moshe Feiglin or Yehuda Glick, along with other Jews go up to the Temple Mount throw stones and fireworks to harm them, burn them and scare them, then escape to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and close the doors in place to prevent security forces from catching them, and then get out of the Temple Mount with worshipers who come to the mosque.

Eventually their plan was foiled following the arrest of Majed Ben Maher Karaki. "These actions tied defendants to injure a person using a cold weapon in a group and all of a nationalist motive," according to the indictment.

In addition to the three accused in other cases in recent months, they participated in riots when masked, threw stones and shot many fireworks at security forces near the "al-Aqsa" mosque, on the Temple Mount.

The prosecution sought to arrest the accused until the legal proceedings against them are over.
