Shuvu Banim scholars were attacked in the Old City

Less than a week after the massacre of Har Nof, Jerusalem is still tense and 2 students were attacked tonight (Monday), by terrorists in the Old City. They were evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in mild to moderate condition.

Tonight, two Shuvu Banim yeshiva students arrived at the Kishla police station, near the Jaffa Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem, with stabs.

They said they were attacked by Arabs in the Heldayi Street near the Old City market district, when ever leaving the yeshiva. The two were stabbed although it is unclear whether by knives or other sharp object.

MDA teams were dispatched to the scene, gave them first aid and evacuated them in fair condition to the Shaare Zedek Hospital.

Jerusalem police detained three suspected Arab residents of the Old City, an adult and two children. Police and Border Guard officers performed scans for other suspects.

Police believe it is an incident of verbal abuse between yeshiva students and Arabs, which heated up and turned to physical violence.

MDA paramedic Erez Gati, told Behadrey Haredim: "we were rushed to a case at the police station, following the stabbing incident, we met two casualties aged 30 and 40 who said they were hurt on nationalist grounds. We provided medical treatment for two, one in moderate condition and in full recognition, and another wounded in mild condition. Both were evacuated to the trauma unit at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem. "

Pray for the wounded Avraham ben Mazel.
