Yehuda Glick was released: "It isn’t obvious that I am able to speak"

A month after the assassination attempt against Yehuda Glick, today (Monday) he is released from Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

On the occasion of his release, Glick held a press conference at Shaare Zedek. "Anyone who shoots another man in the name of Al Aqsa he is the one who desecrates the Al Aqsa mosque. A Muslim who treats Jewish patients at Shaare Zedek, he is the one who respects Islam," he said.

"We must not assume that members of the Israeli public are protected. Something has happened in Israel. Law-abiding community activist was shot solely because of his faith. Tomorrow it could happen to others. It is our duty to treat it as if it was successful and to know that members of the public need protection."

Glick thanked the doctors at the hospital that saved his life after the assassination attempt. "Clearly, the fact that I'm sitting here talking like this is not obvious. The very fact that four bullets hit my abdomen and none of them harmed center blood vessels, in the heart. A bullet which hit the spine, decided to skip the spinal cord. A bullet which hit the neck skipped the main artery.

"The rapid elimination of the terrorist within hours and careful supervision of the Israeli police and security forces, as they realize that there are not really happy about it I'm here".

He referred to the blessing and prayer letters received from the people of Israel and said, "At the times I could read I read much of what you wrote. It was a lot of fun, flattery touched my heart, heartwarming. I thank all the people of Israel who prayed, who blessed, who called, who wanted to come and I didn’t allow them."
