"Oy, vei vei, asherkelicha zach ... ah!" That has been the response by Hagaon R' Aharon Leib over the last day at any time when the terrible event which occurred yesterday, the brutal murders of four kedoshim in the middle of davening in shul, while wearing tallis and tefillin, is mentioned.

"That's how one knew that outside to Israel there were the Gentiles - the Poles and the Russians who hate the Jews, and they thought that in the Land of Israel it is calm, but at the end here in Israel it's even worse... there are Arabs who hate Jews so much," R' Aharon Leib said to his associates and sighed.

When asked what it means that it was "berachamim", R' Aharon Leib replied that without rachamim G-d forbid, it could have been even worse... and what they saw the ways of G-d, that these kedoshim were murdered rachmona litzlan, and others who were there were saved in different ways, R' Aharon Leib expressed himself that there was a saying "Yeder koil hot a-adres", every bullet has an address from heaven where to go.

However, R' Aharon Leib ruled not to consider Jerusalem a place of danger more than other places, but everywhere one needs rachmei shomayim. When they mentioned that there are those who claim that the events are due to people entering the Temple Mount, he commented, "Fohr di avreira vos men geit arein... [because of the offense of entry there]. And although those who were killed hy"d were G-d yereim ushleimim, and have no connection to that, yet the tzadikim are caught for the misdemeanor of the generation."
