A 38-year-old avrech was brutally attacked yesterday (Tuesday) in Boro Park.

The neighborhood of Boro Park, the largest religious neighborhood in New York, has recently become the 'Wild West', and attacks have become commonplace.

Three youngsters attacked a haredi avrech, 38-year-old resident of the neighborhood, while driving his car near the neighborhood.

The incident occurred when a car driving behind him hit his car. The avrech stopped in order to inspect the damage and three local youths who are not related to the accident, attacked and beat him all over his body, shattered the glass of his car, robbed his cell phone and fled the scene, all that in front of passers-by.

The battered avrech called the members of "Hashomrim" of Boro Park who were quick to call the police and arrive on the scene.

With the help of a non-Jewsih eyewitness the police and volunteers were able to locate the youngsters who fled and hid in the house of one of them. The three were arrested and are accused of robbery and hate crime.
