After a year: Va'ad Hayeshivos ti convene at R' Aharon Leib

After a year of not having convened, Va'ad Hayeshivos will hold a conference this (Sunday) evening at Hagaon R' Aharon Leib Steinman, attended by the President of the Council of Sages of Shas, Hagaon R' Shalom Cohen.

Today at 17:00, the conference committee is expected to meet at 5 Hazon Ish Street in Bnei Brak.

The meeting will be opened by chairman of Va'ad Hayeshivos Hagaon R' C.A. Kaufman, who will give an overview of the relationship with the military, and more.

Then expected to speak are R' Aharon Leib Steinman and R' Shalom Cohen. Also expected to participate is a representative of the Hasidic yeshiva world, whose identity has not been established.

Behadrey Haredim learned that the purpose of the conference is to present a unified front of the Torah world.

The appointment of three Roshei Yeshiva as committee members of Va'ad Hayeshivos is expected, as well as a member of the Hasidic yeshiva.

The conference will also feature the Committee's annual balance sheet, and a number of technical details.
