South Heats Up Again: A rocket landed in Eshkol

A rocket was fired last night (Friday night) from Gaza and landed in the Eshkol Regional Council. Red alert was not activated. There were no casualties or damage.

The IDF Spokesman said that apparently there was a fall in Israeli territory, but so far it has not been identified.

The defense establishment decided to close tomorrow the Kerem Shalom and Erez crossing. Urgent humanitarian cases will be allowed to enter Gaza through Erez.

Haim Yalin, head of the Eshkol Regional Council, responded by saying: "It does not matter who shoots, Hamas or rogue organizations, we require a military response against rocket attacks on Israeli citizens. Military achievement of Preventive Edge is fading, without a political strategy to give true peace to southern residents and residents of the State of Israel."

"The hourglass has been turned for the next war. Today it is Eshkol, tomorrow Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and the military and political response must be in accordance with it.
