Gafni to the Arabs: "support us as we supported you"

It turns out that the fate of the conversion bill by MK Eliezer Stern will be decided by the Arab factions. Hearing will be held on Monday, two members are expected to decide the fate of Arab Commission of conversion law.

As the balance of power is emerging today, Habayit Hayehudi, Likud and the Orthodox oppose against those who support the law are Hatnua, Meretz, Avodah, Yisrael Beitenu and Yesh Atid.

There are 6 who support and 5 who oppose the law and the votes will be decided by the Arab MK's.

According to a report on Channel 2 said MK Gafni to Arab MK it is not recommended to support the conversion law, because it "would be more Jews."

But in a conversation with Behadrey Haredim Gafni denies the things and says: "Arab Knesset members have received a lot of help in all areas in the power centers that the Torah Jewry would help them in their important things. So I tell them, conversion bill is the soul of the haredi community and, like the ultra-Orthodox Knesset members helped many Arab Knesset members in things which were important to them, so we expect this time their support for the struggle on what is important to us".

It should be noted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu removed his support for the proposed conversion law and thus made the conversion law reach the constitutional committee vote.
