Shock: especially heavy sentences on rabbis portfolio

The Jerusalem District Court sentenced the accused rabbis and sent them to 10 months to 7 years in prison.

Sentence given today by the court held that "in the case of the exposed major fraud case seen in the country, if not the biggest of them, particularly in terms of scope and in terms of financial damage caused ".

Sentence was also determined that "the various colleges, as well as the Chief Rabbinate, issued fraudulent documents and records, including false information in order to create a representation according to which track students meet the criteria for the Chief Rabbinate and the criteria certificate of security agencies for wage benefits in respect of religious studies. Based on this false representation, security agencies confirmed the right of permanent police personnel salaries and benefits paid to more than one thousand people, huge amounts of salary benefits, amounting hundreds of millions of shekels. It should be noted that this amount relates only to the height of the benefit received 400 permanent staff investigated MPCID permanent staff of 750 who attended various colleges.
