Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, met last night (Wednesday) in Washington with Secretary of State, John Kerry.

Lieberman told Secretary Kerry that Israel greatly appreciates the stance of the United States during Operation "Solid Rock" to its side and that the Israeli leadership and citizens know that the United States is the greatest friend of Israel.

Lieberman asked the Secretary to change the State Department's travel warning text so that Israel will no longer be affected by the Operation and that American citizens know that there is no reason for them not to visit Israel and there is no danger for their safety and security.

Lieberman said that Israel supports the United States and its efforts to form a broad international front against the Islamic State organization and is available to the United States when asked to help in this campaign, keeping in mind that there are sensitivities among the countries who participate in the project and according to the needs of the United States.

He further added that, "The fight against terrorism in all its forms, is the most important task of the free world these days and there is no difference between one type of terrorism and another. Hamas terror operations against Israel as well as against the people of Gaza, are no different from the terrorism of ISIS and the only difference is in terminology and communication practices of the organizations. Ultimately, Lieberman said, the whole purpose of Islamic terrorism is the same - the destruction of Western civilization. Therefore, just as it is impossible to negotiate with an organization like ISIS, one can not negotiate with Hamas, and as long as Hamas rules Gaza, there will be neither peace nor security, and whoever wants to promote a settlement between Israel and the Palestinians must first of all bring to an end the reign of terror in the PA.

He added that, "the need to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear state is part of the same struggle, because Iran is a number one exporter of terrorism in the world and if it possesses nuclear weapons the world would be a much more dangerous place and the entire Middle East will enter a crazy spin race to attain nuclear weapons which will undermine the region even more than what is happening at present. The powers must stand strong in negotiations with Iran and continue the sanctions because one must not compromise when it comes to terrorism."
