Rabbi Berland: Come from Kiev to Amsterdam • Watch

Rabbi Berland's exile in Amsterdam: Hagaon Hatzadik Rabbi Eliezer Berland, who is currently in Amsterdam, Netherlands, calls on his followers to visit him, immediately upon their return from Uman in the Ukraine, where they will stay at the tomb of Rabbi Nachman during Rosh Hashana.

Rabbi Berland is currently staying in Amsterdam after an attempt to extradite him to Israel and the precedent of the court which released him on bail on Friday.

In a video obtained by Behadrey Haredim and published for the first time, Rabbi Berland is heard instructing his disciples "after Rosh Hashana there will be airplane from Kiev to Amsterdam, then return from Amsterdam to Israel only for Hasidim. Tell everyone to sign up at Natan Meirav".

In the video, Rabbi Berland is seen chatting with Attorney Herman Lonstin, one of the community leaders in Amsterdam and who has become attached to the rabbi. He is heard asking, "Can the Hasidim come now already to Amsterdam?"

This year is the second year in which Rabbi Berland will not be in Uman, as last year he was in Morocco.
