Sydney, Australia: a bulletproof wall was erected around a Jewish school in the city.

A protective wall, designed by an Israeli defense plant, was installed around the perimeter of Yeshiva Centre, Sydney, which also has a Jewish school.

The wall is composed of concrete and is bulletproof, bulletproof windows were also installed in the school. This was followed by a number of anti-Semitic incidents that occurred in the recent past. About a thousand school children from first grade to twelfth grade, learn in the school.

School principal Rabbi Dovid Slavin, relates that last month vandals went onto a bus that drove young students from the school and called "Kill the Jews". He also said that recently anti-Semitic leaflets were distributed in Jewish homes.

The Rabbi added that he expects the increase of security will help parents relax: "This is an increase in our self security," continued the rabbi, "Australia is wonderful, this country gave many opportunities for minorities. We who live in Australia should be grateful, but at the same time not to be complacent or irresponsible when we are talking about the lives of young people."
