Yinon Avitan, the yeshiva student, was released today (Tuesday), from military prison after serving his sentence.
Raishis Chochma yeshiva student Yinon Avitan, who was arrested and jailed for non attendance at the recruitment center, was released from prison.
Arrest led to a wave of protests across the country in recent weeks and near Prison 6 where a central Selichot rally was held yesterday and led by Hagaon Rabbi Yaakov Ades.
Today, in the morning, Avitan was welcomed by the yeshiva students who came to welcome him. He acknowledged the support he had received, and said that he was able to listen to protests and consolidation which took place near the jail.
Today he returned to continue his studies at the yeshiva. Another prisoner is due to be released this Friday.
