The Supreme Court rejected today (Monday), the United Torah Judaism's petition for an interim injunction to prevent the Jerusalem Rabbinate elections on Twenty-seventh of Tishrei, as determined by the Jerusalem Rabbinate Election Commission 10 days ago.

Decision Uzi Fogelman judge ruled that the hearing will take place on Thursday this week, and the Jerusalem Municipality, the Minister and Deputy Minister of Religious Services have until Wednesday to respond to the petition.

So far, four applications were submitted to an interim order not received by the court.

The petition is spread over 44 pages, tells Mr. Raanan Bar-Zohar at length the activities of the Minister Bennett, Ben Dahan and deputy mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, to promote the appointment of Rabbi Stern in Jerusalem. Said, "All electoral body assembly activities, and rests solely guided by this goal and achieve that goal."

The petition also refers to membership of the Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, Knesset elections, and claimed that he was disqualified from the committee due to the fact established by prior public support in most specific, and therefore all his activities and actions the committee is to promote the long, contrary to the wishes of the author committee work statehood, transparency, fairness, professionalism and neutrality.
