Jewish couple was killed Friday in a private plane crash in the Caribbean.

This is a businessman and real estate developer Larry Glazer (60), whose private plane crashed into the ocean yesterday north to the Caribbean in Jamaica.

Larry and his wife Jane were the only people on the plane; their son Ken said yesterday.

Major Jarrett Basilcom from Jamaica said that the plane fell 14 kilometers north-east of Port Antonio, after taking off at 8:45 am from the airport in Rochester, New York. Two military aircraft were sent to escort the private plane that flew from Rochester to Florida, after the pilot did not respond to the provisions of aviation inspectors. Two military aircraft escorted the plane over the skies of Florida and Cuba until the aircraft crashed over the Caribbean Islands.

The Jewish community in Rochester, New York took the news with astonishment, and friends say that Larry Glazer was active in raising funds for Jewish organizations, and for organizations to budget nursing homes and assisted the elderly population.
