Sofer story: The FBI joins and parents offer reward

Mystery of missing boy in Jerusalem: today (Tuesday) continued exploration - for the fourth day in a row – after the yeshiva student Aharon Sofer, missing since last Saturday.

Tonight Kol Berama interviewed Eliezer Sofer, brother of the missing boy, who went on the air in the main edition of Manny Gira. Among other things, the brother said: "We as a family do not know anything and neither do the police. We have no clue. Many people questioned the police trying to find a clue." He said, "We now left Hgr"ch Kaneivsky and are on our way to Hgray"l Steinman. Investigators during conversation with us are trying to get into the head of my brother, how he should respond."

Police have participated searches as well as ZAKA, Etzion rescue units, Ein Gedi and Megilot, and 600 volunteers - mostly yeshiva students.

Though the intense heat today in the Jerusalem Forest, and in addition it is also difficult due to topographical conditions on the ground, they keep searching to try and find a clue that will lead to solving the mystery. Each stone has been uncovered, every bush was moved.

This afternoon's parents arrived at the headquarters, when they would like to hear whether there is new information about their son. Along with them came investigators of the CIA FBI and other volunteers of the "Mitaskim". Parents were helpless, and often burst into tears.

Command post was set up in the morning in the Jerusalem forest at the foot of Har Nof neighborhood, was later in the day relocated by police across the forest, near Mount Herzl. Nightfall ended the search, and they will resume tomorrow.

The work plan for tomorrow is no different to previous days, dividing the area into sections, equipment groups, and their removal for search in the area. However, the police intend to expand the search to further circles, the emphasis will be given to the area of Ein Kerem, since that's where the trail leads where Sofer was gone missing. Command post will be set up at 8:00 tomorrow morning at the agricultural school in Ein Kerem.

Police and ZAKA call to as many volunteers as possible to join the search, in coordination with the officials, and not to search independently. It is important to emphasize that appropriate dress is recommended, which includes a sun hat, sneakers and manual.
