In Gura, Poland R' Velvel Felix Karpman z"l passed away at the age of 89 • his funeral will pass tomorrow through Beis Midrash Gur on 10 Piarska

Baruch Dayan Ha'emes: in the town of Gur, Poland, Velvel (Felix) Karpman z"l died last Friday at the age of 89.
Karpman was a revered man, for many years he took care of the burial place of the Rebbes of Gur zia"t in Gura-Kalvaria, Poland and carefully tended the cemetery and Beis Midrash in the town of Gur.
Every time a group of Hassidim came to pray there he would open the gates of the cemetery and Beis Midrash for a few pennies.
He would always smile at anyone who came to pray, and would agree to open the cemetery even at a late hour, everyone called him the "shamash of the village of Gur".
The funeral will leave tomorrow from his home on 3 Ogardova Street through the Great Beis Midrsh of Gur on 10 Piarska Street to the cemetery, where he will be interred.
May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
