Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said tonight (Monday), a statement to the media and announced the continuation of the operation.
Netanyahu wanted to open a consolation to the families of the soldiers who fell "there is no correct war as this one" Netanyahu said, "and I would like to strengthen the hands of soldiers working as we speak against our enemies in the Gaza Strip. We knew that hard times await us, this is a hard day. But we do not end the operation without disabling tunnels whose sole purpose is destruction of our citizens, killing our children. This is the number one destination and the day turned out and again proven need for it.
"This is the first step to demilitarization of the Gaza Strip," he continued, "The international community must insist that Hamas disarm. Substances and cement entering Gaza should be monitored and controlled. We raised this demand in the past but did not respond to us, and now we return and demand it."
"Hamas violated the cease-fire all offers. We stand opposite a cruel enemy who is also cruel towards his fellow citizens who absorb more and more victims while shippers are killing and shooting at us. We need to be prepared for a long mission to protect our citizens and our children."
Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said, "Hamas suffered heavy blows. We will not hesitate to expand our activities to harm Hamas."
Chief of Staff Benny Ganz offered Gaza residents to stay away from Hamas forces: "Otherwise it will hurt."
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri in Gaza responded: "Netanyahu's statements are an expression of defeat in front of the opposition. Threats do not scare Hamas or the Palestinian people."
