Violent demonstrations by pro Palestinians were held last Saturday in New York and Paris.

In Manhattan, a huge demonstration of pro Palestinians took place on Friday night, condemned the war in Gaza and demanded that Israel stop the killing. The police estimated that the demonstration was attended by about three thousand protesters who came first to Times Square in Manhattan, and from there marched to the Israeli consulate.

The demonstrators carried banners and Palestinian flags calling for to the U.S. government to stop supporting Israel. Ramzi Jamal, a Palestinian citizen of America 37, said: "We just want to stop the killing and that will allow them to live like everyone else."

One of the protesters carrying his son on his shoulders, held a sign that reads, "I am just a child, please do not kill me." The sign showed a picture of a dead child in Gaza. Demonstrators marched to the Israeli consulate shouting "Free Palestine" or "1 2 3 4 Stop the Killing".

Police sent reinforcements to the demonstration, told the media that she does not know who organized the demonstration. The media widely covered the demonstration, but they all added that the demonstration took place despite Israel's agreement to a ceasefire.

The ceasefire in Israel captured headlines in the international media, but that did not stop thousands of protesters in Paris to defy the police ban for pro-Palestinian demonstrations.

About three thousand people walked on Saturday to "Plaza de la Republican" in Paris, hundreds of SWAT police arrived and prevented demonstrators to advance towards the large Square.

At one point the rage heated and the demonstration became violent when masked men among the protesters started throwing stones and other objects at police. At this point, the police used tear gas to disperse the demonstration.

Two hours before the demonstration Interior Minister Bernard Kazonva prohibited public demonstrations.
