Since the ground incursion into Gaza, the Mekubal Rabbi Shariya Debiltzki recites selichot every night after Ma'ariv prayer for the safety of soldiers fighting in Gaza.
Ma'ariv prayer minyan takes place every evening at his home in Bnei - Brak, Hgr"s Debiltzki recites the chapters of selichot and finally blowing of the shofer.
Last Friday, he ordered to recite tehillim and 'Achenu Kol Beis Yisrael' as well as the 13 middoth of mercy.
Hgr"s explained that because this is a life-saving measures we have to recite the 13 middos like on Yom Kippur which falls on Shabbos.
