After a quiet night, at least on the Israeli side, this morning (Wednesday) rockets were fired at the western Negev towns and at Ashkelon - four rockets landed in open areas and 4 were intercepted by Iron Dome. Hourly no reports of injuries or damage caused by the attacks. Alarms sounded in neighboring localities near Ashdod.
Globes reports that while in Israel sirens almost weren’t sounded during the night, in the Gaza Strip, the IDF continued to attack the homes of Hamas leaders - the organization's television network reported that around midnight a drone by the air force's bombed the house of Fathi Hamad, a former interior minister from senior Hamas movement.
About two hours later, another injury reported by the IDF, this time at the home of Mahmoud al - Zahar considered the number two in Hamas leadership and served as foreign minister in the Hamas government in Gaza. According to Palestinian reports, a jet fighter is one who fired two missiles at the house of a senior and was completely destroyed.
The IDF called tonight to residents of Beit Lahiya refugee camp and Sg'aih and Zeitun neighborhood in northern Gaza Strip, to evacuate their homes today until at 8:00 am.
The residents received recorded messages that said to evacuate their homes in order not to be injured from the fighting.
"As part of our effort to avoid harming the civilian population, we send notices to residents of northern Gaza to leave their homes for their own protection," said IDF spokesman.
These messages come against the backdrop of escalating warfare preparing planned by Israel.
Yesterday morning, Israel announced that she accepts the outline of the Egyptian cease-fire, Hamas refused to accept it.
