26 percent of Americans: Jews murdered Yeshu

A new survey of the Anti-Defamation League in the U.S. shows anti-Semitism declining but still blooming: 26 percent of those polled said they believe Jews are responsible for the death of Yeshu."

However this is down five percent compared to the previous survey, in which 31 percent of Americans responded that the Jews are the ones who killed the man.

14 percent of respondents claimed that Jews have too much power, 19 percent believe that Jews have "too much power in business", 18 percent explained that the Jews have too much power in the news and media.

So, a quarter of them think that Jews talk too much about the Holocaust and 30 percent of respondents believe that American Jews are more loyal to Israel than to the United States.

Director of the ADL, Abe Foxman, prefers to look on the bright side, he said, in a survey conducted by the League in 1964 showed that 29 percent of Americans hold anti-Semitic views so over the years there is a change for the better. "I believe that in 50 years we will reach zero percent anti-Semitism."

The survey, held to mark the ADL 100th anniversary was conducted by telephone and surveyed 1,200 adults last October.
