Baruch Dayan Haemes: On Friday at the age of 79, Hrh"ch Rabbi Eliyahu Rainer zt"l passed away, he was a majestic figure in Meah Shearim and a student of Rav Elyashiv zt"l.

The deceased was born in Romania in Tevet תרצ"ה to his father Rabbi Aharon Rainer z"l.
Following the holocaust he emigrated from Romania as a lonely man and established a beautiful family in Israel. During his life he gave charity and learned Torah.

For over 50 years he learned with Rav Elyashiv zt"l who gave shiurim at the Tiferes Bachurim Beit Midrash and was a known figure in Meah Shearim and Batei Werner.

He was also the beloved student of Gab"d Eideh Charedi Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Freund zt"l.

He left a beautiful generation of children, three sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren who follow in his footsteps.

His funeral was held on Ereb Shabbos Prashas Toldos and was buried on Har Hamenuchos shortly before Shabbos.

His family is sitting Shiva at his home on Chesed Avraham 3 in Batei Werner.
