Baruch Dayan Haemes: In Jerusalem, died this morning (Wednesday) the late Rabbi Chanina Nemirovsky, one of the majestic figures in Meah Shearim neighborhood, when he was 84 at his death.
The deceased was born in Jerusalem on 8th Tishrei תר"צ to his father Hrh"ch Shimon and his mother Mrs. Reitzeh a"h.
For decades, he was a member of a group of students at the Great Synagogue Zichron Moshe. He was also a close associate of Hgri"i Fisher zt"l. During his entire life enjoyed the labor of his hands, loved the Torah, liked the mitzvot and was respected by the scholars. Those who traced his footprints found that despite the harassment and the work he learned no less than 8 hours a day.
At simchas he would paint the walls of the Talmud Torah in Jerusalem, and the synagogues, from Talmud Torah Etz Chaim till Shomrei Hachamos.
He was known as a righteous and humble man, with fear of Heaven. He would get up early, give charity.
He merited a generation of good children and descendants: His only son is Hrh"g Yitzchak Meir Nemirovsky, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral left today at 12:30 from his home at 3 Cahayei Adam Street 9near Zupnik) in Jerusalem towards Har Hamenuchos, where he will be laid to rest.
