Line of glitches prevented the departure of the Rachmastrivka Rebbe to the U.S.
Rebbe arrived at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday evening, to go to the wedding of the son of the CEO of institutions Rabbi Yitzchak Twersky held in the United States. Rebbe was expected to stay six hours in the U.S. and go back right away, but he missed the flight and went home.
The Rebbe's associates did not give up and ordered another flight for Thursday afternoon. When the Rebbe arrived at Shaar Hagay, he fumbled in his pocket and then it turned out that he only carried the new passport issued to him recently, and that old – which has the stamped visa, was forgotten Jerusalem. Rebbe was again forced to return home and the trip was canceled.
Rebbe's sources claim that this is a proactive step taken by the Rebbe in order not to go.
"Here he was late, and here 'just' forgot the visa. What happens is, the Rebbe was under pressure from various parties, to attend the wedding, but not 'enthusiastic' by the result. They pressured and the Rebbe had to leave, but these 'measures' were not random and were intended to suggest that he was not comfortable with the trip and these were the results in the end."
