Indicted, the young gang from Jerusalem

Jerusalem District Attorney's Office , represented by attorney Brigitte Vitali , filed today (Wednesday ) to the District Court for youngsters in the city, an indictment against 11 minors charges of malicious damage to property, to intentionally attempt extent of compensation depends , holding a knife unlawfully and willfully endangering the lives of people on a roadway - four different charges . Defendants committed the offenses intentionally to damage property and lives of Arabs.

According to the first indictment, in September 2013 the defendants were 1-4 and 11 on the Shimon Hazaddik Street in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the city. Some of the defendants scratched cars parked on the street. As a result, five cars parked there were damaged. Later the accused threw stones at the car on the road which was intent to harm Arabs. One of the stones hit the car to the road and caused damage.

According to the second charge, some of the defendants came to Shimon Hazaddik Street. Defendant No. 2, who had the ninja knife, punctured tires of the cars parked on the street at the time to intentionally hurt an Arab's car.

According to the third charge, in September, 2013, at least five different times, defendants gathered in Jerusalem on Arazi Street and threw stones at cars and vehicles in intent to harm the Arabs. The defendants stood on a hillside street near the road, and threw stones at vehicles believed to be driven by Arabs, who were at that time driving on the street. One of the defendants served as a lookout and informed when passing vehicles defendants believed they were driven by Arabs, while others threw stones according to observations made. The defendants attacked a large number of cars this way, when some of them damaged cars and shattered the windshield.

According to the fourth indictment, defendants assembled 1-5 and 7-9 during Sukkot, September, 2013, on Arzei Habira Street in Jerusalem. The accused threw stones at vehicles traveling on the street at that time who believed that the vehicles belong to Arabs. The defendants have hit at least three vehicles.

The indictment charges the 11 minors with offenses as follows: first charge attaches to defendants 1-4 and 11 offenses of malicious damage to, any property and attempt to intentionally extent of compensation. The second charge accused attributes 1-2 and 4-6 offenses of malicious damage to, any and unlawful possession of a knife . The third charge attaches to all defendants offense of willfully endangering the lives of people on a roadway. The fourth charge accused attributes 1-5 and 7-9 offense of willfully endangering the lives of people on a roadway.

Concurrently with the indictment filed a request to extend the conditions of release under restrictions until the end of proceedings.

Avichai Hajbi attorney representing the defendants on behalf of Chanenu, said: "At the end of the day it seems that the mountain gave birth to a mouse. Suspicions were proven wrong and alleged serious offenses during detention hearings were omitted from the indictment. These are children whose place is in educational institutions and not in court."
Attorney Naftali Warzberger commented: "Today the prosecution rushed to file the indictment with cynical exploitation of the Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Day, whilst indictment proves that these are charges of children and youth and is doubtful whether even damaged property. This is already now a big balloon whose end seems as deafening silence."

Attorney David Halevy said: "My clients were released from detention even under investigation, so that speaks for itself. My client denies any connection to the charges against them. At this stage, we took the case material and our response will be discussed. "
