Monsey: Chasidic man charged with drug trafficking and weapons

The town of Monsey doesn’t stop with the criminal sections headings: A hassidic man is suspected of trafficking and drugs.

After the shock which hit the Orthodox community last week with the arrest of Rabbi Wallmark, son in law of philanthropist Zev Wolfson, it was found that the young man named Shlomo Ettinger a hassid and resident of the town, is accused of possessing and selling drugs and guns .

Related charges filed this week at the local court.

According to local press reports, the police searched his home and found various drugs and weapons without a permit.

In a precedent-setting politicians and rabbis initiated a letter from the prosecutor and demanded the maximum penalty extraction with Ettinger.

Petition signed by rabbis, educators and haredi residents accused Ettinger said that the sale of drugs for adults and children, is a danger, and must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Meanwhile Ettinger managed to be set free with a bail of $ 1,000.
