Head of Iran's Jewish community asked yesterday (Sunday) from U.S. President Barack Obama to repair the relationship with Iran, according to the AFP news agency report.
"If the U.S. and the international community will take advantage of this rare opportunity, and it may not repeat itself - then it will use those who oppose normalization of the relations between Iran and the United States," wrote the head of Tehran's Jewish community, Humayun Be Najaf Abadi, in a letter to Obama.
This letter comes in the wake of the visit of Rohani at the UN in New York last month, then hinted several times he would be happy to renew diplomatic ties with the West.
"We, Iranian Jews as a religious minority in his country, took part in the elections and chose our president freely. He added and attacked Netanyahu that the Jewish community has a choice "to wear jeans and listen to music."
