Yesterday (Monday), at around 22:15, stones were thrown at an Egged bus on Sultan Suleiman Street, near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem.

Bus driver continued driving toward the Western Wall, while passengers called the police.

Miraculously, there were no injuries, but damage was caused to the bus. Police immediately began searching, and arrested those suspected of throwing stones.

Dina, 19, a resident of one of the ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods in Jerusalem told B'Chadrei Charedim that during the trip she heard several explosions, and the windows on one side of the bus were shattered. "There was panic on the bus, and the driver quickly drove off towards the wall, whilst we called the police which arrived relatively quickly.
"There were not many passengers on the bus, but I was at the back of the bus, I heard the crying of babies. It was very frightening; miraculously there were no injuries."

A little later, a gas grenade was thrown at the St. George Hotel lobby on Salah al-Din Street in East Jerusalem. Five fire crews evacuated the lobby and the floor; it is unclear whether there is a connection between the cases.

Some hotel guests were mildly injured and suffered burning to the eyes, and two of them were evacuated in MDA ambulances to Hadassah Mount Scopus. Police forces opened an investigation into the circumstances of the case.
