Jerusalem police arrested this morning (Monday) 13 Jews on the Temple Mount.

Jews arrived this morning had to wait an hour before being allowed entry. Even after entering, they were divided into small groups of seven people. A policeman was attached to every Jew with a surveillance camera to keep him from praying or bowing. During the pilgrimage the police repeatedly memorized in their ears the police ban on Jews praying on the mountain.

During the visit some of them had had enough, and they began to recite the Shema, some sang the Hatikva anthem and called on the Prime Minister to stop being afraid of Islamic threats, and allow Jews freedom of prayer on the Temple Mount.

Police arrested three Jewish worshipers including Rabbi Micha Peled, Rabbi of settlement of Beit Horon.

Temple Mount detained 10 other Jewish men who danced, sang and waved the Israeli flag, the visitors were removed from the mountain and were detained, and the Temple Mount was closed to visitors.

"Freedom of expression is not valid on the Temple Mount," said this morning one of the worshipers. "It is time that freedom of expression and human rights will also be given to the Jews on the Temple Mount - and everyone has the privilege to pray in this holy place."

These arrests are joined by the arrest this weekend of three other rabbis who they claim that they angered the Muslims with their prayer. Amongst them is Rabbi Yisrael Ariel head of the Temple Institute and Rabbi Doron Ladvin Head of Technion Midrasha.

Attorney Adi Keidar representing the detainees on behalf of the Association, Chanenu, said this morning: "The discriminatory policy of the Israeli police comes up repeatedly while trampling human rights and restriction of movement of Jews on the most sacred places."

Joint Staff spokesman organizations Temple, Rabbi Yehuda Glick claims that the police "declared war" on the Temple Mount Jewish immigrants.

Israeli police decided to arrest for 24 hours 12 worshipers who emerged this morning (Monday) to the Temple Mount, prayed, and sang of hope. The people arrested 10-year-old boy who accompanied his father. Attorney's appeal on behalf of Naphtali Warzberger from Chanenu will appeal against the detention today (Monday) at 16:00 at Jerusalem Magistrate's Court. In response to the detention the detainees claim that it is not a criminal offense to sing the national anthem and say Shema – Yisrael.
